Bluenery was born out of a love of water
When freediving world champion, Guillaume Nery founded Bluenery, he did so with a firm belief that the clothing we love should be made with the upmost respect for the planet.
Our oceans are suffering because of our clothing habits.
20% of global industrial water pollution comes from the garment industry.
So we challenged ourselves to do things differently.
We’re committed to using organic or recycled materials, reducing the amount of water needed for virgin fabrics.
We steer clear of toxins used for dyeing and processing that typically wind up in our waterways.
We consciously curate our fabric colours to dye our products in bulk, avoiding the need to change the water in the dyeing vats.
But you also have a part to play.
Wearing Bluenery means wearing a timelessly designed and mindfully made product – one that is made to last. Caring for your clothes and extending their life can drastically reduce the impact it has on the planet.
We hope you embark on many adventures wearing Bluenery, and when your clothing comes to the end of it’s journey with you, don’t forget our products are 100% recyclable.
All materials come from the earth, in one way or another. Regardless of the type of fabrics we use, we acknowledge that there are still Mother Nature’s resources consumed and depleted while producing them.
For the moment, we’ve chosen materials that have a lower impact on the planet, and standardized to ensure the people working to produce these materials are treated fairly.
SUSTAINABLE BY DESIGN
Comfort, beauty and simplicity are central to the design choices we make for every piece.
We strive to explore sustainability from all angles, a holistic approach to each product as
the quality and sustainability of the fabrics we use is only one part of the equation.
